A fantastic book by comedian, David Walliams.
Ever since it was announced that Gangsta Granny was going to be made into a Christmas adaptation for BBC, I thought I should write a review of the book. I can only hope that the adaptation is as good as the book is.
Ben’s parents are addicted to Strictly Come Dancing. His Granny smells of cabbage and he hates visiting her. But one day she reveals to him that she was a jewel thief and he accompanies her on one last mission to steal the crown jewels. David Walliams has proved himself to be a fantastic author. His stories are comedic with lots of heart, and if you haven’t read any of his books yet then you should. The books aren’t just for kids. I’m 19 and I adore the books because they have something that everyone will be amused by. It may even encourage kids to read, who knows?
For one thing, this book should teach children that their grandparents aren’t boring. It should teach kids to appreciate their family.
