This is the first books in the Poirot series.
I wrote my latest Agatha Christie post back in September, and I have decided to try and read as many of the canon novels as possible.
This book is about the death of a wealthy woman from strychnine poisoning and it is up to Poirot to find her killer. Now, given this is the first book in the canon, you can give Christie credit that she hadn’t found her footing in the genre.
However, Poirot books will always be popular in one way or another. Sherlock, Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. Its the best way to fuel our literary obsession with murder. And something that Christie’s stories will always be good at is feeding you tiny clues so you can try and solve the mystery as Poirot does.
MY RATING: 3 / 5.
