‘What have you done to his eyes?’
Everyone knows of Rosemary’s Baby through the 1968 Polanski version. The horror of the book is not to due to the demonic presence of the weird neighbours, but rather due to the strong feeling of Rosemary’s entrapment in her domestic environment.
Ultimately, this book was very good. I really want to watch the film now. The book is rather short, but nevertheless its purpose is well put across in the end.
To a modern audience, the story probably seems very outdated but the core narrative of alienation is still very relevant today. It’s the sort of book to which everyone can draw their own interpretation.

I remember having the paperback so many years ago, and am in sore need for a reread! I don’t think I saw the movie though.
